D06 is a new build project where technology is being planned as part of the architecture and interior scheme from the outset. The focus isn’t “more gadgets” — it’s quiet, consistent control and a clean visual finish, with the infrastructure designed properly before the walls close up.
Design intent
The goal for this home is simple: lighting, climate, AV and security should feel considered and predictable in daily use, while the visible elements — keypads, screens, speakers and cameras — remain understated and aligned with the finishes.
Systems
Automation backbone: KNX with Basalte user interfaces
The villa uses KNX as the core automation platform, with Basalte in-wall touchscreens and Fibonacci keypads providing the day-to-day interface. This approach keeps the experience consistent across rooms and avoids a patchwork of apps and controls.

Lighting: DALI control
Lighting is delivered via DALI, allowing smooth dimming and reliable scene setting. It’s a practical choice for new build projects where the lighting design needs to be both flexible and precise once the home is lived in.
Entry: Adelante door entry
An Adelante door entry solution provides visitor management and front-of-home communication, planned early to suit the joinery and wall layouts rather than being added late as a surface-mounted afterthought.
Network: Ubiquiti Wi-Fi
A Ubiquiti Wi-Fi solution is being implemented as part of the structured cabling and comms strategy, supporting the control system, door entry, streaming and everyday device demand.
Security: Hikvision CCTV
A Hikvision CCTV system is included for perimeter and key-area coverage, with camera positions coordinated to balance sight lines, architecture and privacy.
Audio (kept visually quiet)
Sonance Invisible speakers throughout main areas
The main living zones use Sonance Invisible speakers, allowing high-quality sound without visible speaker grilles — particularly suited to design-led spaces with clean ceiling lines, feature walls and specialist finishes.
TV Lounge: Invisible Cinema System
The TV lounge will include na invisible surround system, again using Sonance Invisible, to maintain the room’s interior concept while still delivering an immersive surround performance.
